A house built on restraint

CB16 began with a simple frustration: fragrances that smelled expensive for an hour and generic afterwards. The answer was to compose fewer things, more slowly.

How a CB16 flacon is made

1. Composition on the bench, usually thirty to sixty trials.
2. Sourcing of naturals, harvest by harvest.
3. Blending in batches of a few hundred.
4. Maceration for six to eight weeks.
5. Cold filtration, hand filling, numbering.

Nothing leaves the atelier before it has rested. Ever.

What we refuse to do

No seasonal flankers. No reformulation to hit a price. No fillers to stretch a batch.
